大強度陽子加速器施設（J-PARC）物質・生命科学実験施設（MLF）内のビームラインである中性子小角・広角散乱装置（BL15 大観）では、非偏極の中性子ビームを用いた実験に加えて、偏極中性子ビームを用いて試料の磁気構造を解析する偏極解析実験も行われている。試料で磁気散乱された中性子のスピン状態を観測するためにBL15では3Heスピンフィルターを用いた偏極子の開発が行われてきた。本レポートでは、マグネットと共存し、偏極率の高い偏極解析を可能にする中性子スーパーミラーを用いた偏極解析アナライザー用ステージの開発について述べる。ただし、中性子スーパーミラーを用いたアナライザーはカバーする立体角が小さいことから、BL15の観測可能エリアを全てカバーするのではなく、試料からの磁気散乱角度に合わせアナライザーを配置する必要がある。そこで任意の磁気散乱を解析するため、偏極解析アナライザー駆動部の手動ステージを段階的に自動ステージ化することも行った。本装置による偏極解析の高度化により得られた実験の効率化についても述べる。 |

In the Small- and Wide-Angle Neutron Scattering Instrument (BL15 "TAIKAN") at the Materials and Life Science Experimental Facility (MLF) of the Japan Proton Accelerator Research Complex (J-PARC), in addition to experiments using unpolarized neutron beams, polarization analysis experiments are also conducted to analyze the magnetic structure of samples. A polarization analysis using 3He spin filter has been developed at BL15. To implement polarization analysis using supermirrors, which is suitable for polarization neutron experiment with magnets, we developed a stage for the polarization analysis analyzer. However, due to the small size of the analyzer using supermirrors, it does not cover the entire observable area of BL15, and the analyzer needs to be positioned according to the magnetic scattering angle from the sample. To overcome this issue, we also converted the manual stages of the drive unit to automatic ones, which allows us to study magnetic signal at arbitral Q. |
